Bosch champions women. We want to see more and more women in all positions and on all hierarchical levels. Discussions with our employees, flexible work-time models, our women's network, the mentoring program and institutions such as the Ansbach Model guarantee equal opportunities for men and women. We have already seen a marked increase in the number of female participants Junior Managers Program, professional trainees, and support group members. We may even have a woman CEO in the foreseeable future. We're working on it.
Network thinking for success
All for one and one for all. The women's network is a source of solidarity. At Bosch you take your professional future into your own hands. The women's network gives you the support you need for your career. Here women engineers, secretaries, controllers and skilled workers can communicate informally across all hierarchical levels. Each woman brings her own experiences into the network and strengthens the whole. We believe that the women's network is a great contribution to the promotion of women – because it allows women to help other women.
Your personal coach for success
Embark on your career with confidence with a mentor at your side. In the mentoring program, our women employees team up with employees from other levels of the hierarchy for regular, personal information exchange. As a mentee, you benefit directly from your mentor's knowledge and experience. Together with him or her, you will initiate networks which will support you in your career even after you leave the mentoring program. You will receive first-hand insider tips and develop a trusting relationship which may well last for your entire professional life.
Getting away from piecework
The Ansbach Model: Career opportunities for semi-skilled women employees. Our employees' professional development has always been an important issue at Bosch. We developed the Ansbach Model especially to offer attractive perspectives to our semi-skilled women employees. This retraining program enables women to become skilled workers in just 26 months. This project and other activities received the Women's Sponsorship Prize of the Bavarian state government and the Total E-Quality rating. But we think of it simply as women's sponsorship made by Bosch.
